I was just looking at the Harmony Club's home page and noticed that there have been some major changes to the routing of the course.  Here is the link to the new routing:

http://www.harmonyclubgolf.com/html/course_routing.shtml

Some of the major changes:

#4  par 3 is now over an inland pond to a green surrounded by 3 bunkers

#8 looks like a fantastic par 3 now over an inlet of Lake Oconee to a green almost entirely surrounded by bunkers

#9 and #17  now have a shared fairway and go in opposite directions

#10 is a new par 3 that appears to be a Redan

The new routing definitely improved the awkward walk between #8 green and #9 tee.

Tom, what are your thoughts on the new routing?  It appears like you have discovered some great new holes.  #'s 4, 8, 9, and 17 all look very promising.

I'll guess this is a reversed picture of where the new #8 will sit (165 yards):

That picture of #8 sure does look a lot like the short par 3 #11 at it's neighbor Cuscowilla.

I think reversing the hole definitely improves on the routing and the walk to #9 tee.

This is a beautiful piece of property. I do hope Tom is able to get a routing that he feel maximizes the potential of the land.

When I said a "reversed picture", I mean the the actual photo is flipped, based on the course routing (like the Bandon pic on the cover of the GD Page-A-Day Calendar here:

).

If there was a sign in that Harmony pic, it would be backwards (a mirror image).

Anyone have the original routing plan so that we could compare?

Greg,

The original routing was on the club's web site, but is no longer there.

I have the original routing saved on my computer but am not sure how to post it.  Perhaps I can email to someone else and they could post it, there really are many changes.
