Thanks for the heads up - I just signed up for the lottery. Wasn't planning on going but if selected it's easy enough to make a trip out there to watch at least a day of matches. A few hundred $ to walk around CPC and watch some high level matches is not hard math...
Must be California inflation. I think we paid £30 for the weekend at TOC. Now that’s more like easy math.

For sure. That is amazing.
Unfortunately sporting events (frankly all events...concerts, etc.) cost a lot more money to attend these days in the States. Would I rather spend hundreds to attend the PHX Waste Management open (where some people spend thousands per day to attend) or a couple of hundred to watch the Walker Cup at Cypress Point? Maybe many would pick PHX, but I'd happily take CPC instead. To each their own.
I live in PHX and would never pick the WMO.
