Thanks Thomas, nice find.

Perhaps a view of life in Australia as we would like to see ourselves however one that has sadly disappeared in most places.

As an aside, Yanchep and Singapore are equidistant from Sydney.

Yanchep appears to be c. 3900km from Sydney while Singapore is 3900 miles — ie. 1.6x as far.

Yip, the World has certainly changed in the last few decades, 2 billion more people since the year 2000 for starters.
As to places like Yanchep, the desire to stroll around them with only 4-5 clubs in hand becomes ever greater as my age increases. :)

We were working a the 18 hole course in Yanchep which was funded by Allan Bond - the real estate developer (and con-man) who funded the winning Americas Cup bid by Australia in 1983.

I dropped in once to check the course out and it's just what it looks like - rudimentary golf in a beautiful setting.
The land north of Perth is some of the best 'close to a big city' land for golf in Australia but so far not much has been made of it.
