Golf tour merger coming soon
Craig Sweet:
Yawn...who cares? We have catered to murderous thugs for decades and even our involvement in some of these murders hasn't changed anyone's mind about doing business with them/us...human for the most part are immoral creatures.

Personally, if this is what it takes to get the deal done and golf back on track, so be it. There will be a Quid pro quo for this deal, like hosting a major at a Trump property, but with all the money involved, noses, will be held, hands shaken and a deal done.
Personally, I can't wait for POTUS to focus on The NYC MTA & Congestion Pricing. I do hope POTUS sends in DOGE to audit the MTA's books. A DOGE audit of the MTA may make US military spending appear to be cost/budget consious in comparison.

I don't think there's much leverage for a major hosted at a Trump property. The USGA and PGA of America aren't part of this and can have the LIV guys at their events if they want them regardless of the PGA Tour.

More to the point, the PGA TOUR doesn't have much leverage on either organization with regard to selecting their venues. The TOUR used to have more ability to twist arms at the PGA, but the PGA's support of the TOUR's position on the golf ball is important to them, so they aren't likely to put them in a headlock right now about having a PGA Championship in Bedminster.
Chris Hughes:
I suspect Doral will return to the PGA Tour schedule, as it should.
Michael Morandi:
I can’t believe that Monahan still has his job. Friends who know and like him don’t argue with the characterization that he’s just a “suit.” The primary job of any CEO is to identify and repel external threats. He failed to do so and then responded by upping the purses to keep the elite players. Is he like Roger Goodell of the NFL: doing the bidding for the elite players just as Roger does it for the owners?
