In 2023, all the tee times for the year sold out in about two months.
Last year, they were gone in about two hours.
Here in 2025, every tee time for the season at Landmand Golf Club in Homer, Nebraska, was sold out in 50 minutes.
When you're hot, you're hot.
The public-access course, situated about 90 miles north of Omaha and just across the Iowa border from Souix City, is the first original 18-hole layout by King-Collins Golf Course Design. It opened for regular play on Sept. 3, 2022.

Welp, I guess that means none of us should consider going.

This has been on my mind too. Even if they have some times in reserve, it gives the impression that there is no point in trying to get there on shorter notice, which is pretty much all I have at this point. I hear similar things about the Sand Valley resort which is also a little discouraging (I'm about halfway between the two destinations). I wish I could plan my life that far in advance.

Do they hold some tee times for locals? Living twenty miles away and unable to play the course would be disconcerting.

I played Landmand 4x last summer as part of a larger group.

It's certainly big, bold, and it has some fun holes. And I thought it helped playing it a few times as it's width takes some getting comfortable with. It's super wide and features massive greens, but it does a better job at not feeling like you're at a driving range like a Mammoth Dunes.

I mostly appreciated their operating model. It's very much a local-run course and I love the food truck with a small clubhouse that has a small pro shop & bar. The people are good folks & the green fee was a reasonable ~$140.

Sometimes people here take for granted how much many golfers appreciate good old fashioned service at fair prices. If it checks the box as a quasi destination golf course with big modern architecture then all the better.
