My wife and I are planning a 50th anniversary driving trip to eastern Canada this summer.  Plan to play Grand-Mere Golf Club and I'm looking at Cabot Cliffs/Links in Nova Scotia.  Also, Highland Links, NS.

Would appreciate any suggestions for public/public access courses along the way.

Well be entering Canada via Detroit - so, anything Toronto and east.

Thanks,
Doug

There's going to be a family trip to London and likely SE England that may continue onward to France. I'd like to take them to the beaches in the west and quickly play Granville and Dinard. Those looks like perfect high summer stops. Is there anything else interesting in that region?

We just played round one of a 13 round dream trip to NZ and AUS. It will take a lot to improve on it the rest of the year, but we have a wedding in Boston this summer so I will pair George Wright with Essex.

The European Tour played the Moroccan Open at Agadir in the mid 1990s The one year I played not a single player had played the course since the tournament the previous year. it's quite bizarre playing a course without a single divot mark or pitch mark on a green.
Apparently the King stopped going there quite early on - something about 'evil spirits'.

Damn, maybe I shouldn't go!  Did you have any bad luck after the event?

Pleneuf le Val Andre has a good local reputation (though I haven't played it.)

Granville is very interesting, not least because it shows what a minimal input maintenace looks like.

I have, it's not very interesting. There is a small -- three holes -- section by the sea which is ok but the rest of it is rather dull. Not worth a stop. I played as an escape from a very dull extended family holiday a long time ago. The most memorable thing about it was being paired up with a French couple and learning how similar golfing French is to golfing English. I can't remember if it was 'les drives' or 'les putts' that struck me more...

My wife and I are planning a trip to Sweden and Copenhagen for late July. I am planning on taking my clubs and the course I am very interested to see in 2025 is Visby Golf Club.
If there is anyone on GCA from Sweden or Denmark (or heck anywhere else) who might be interested in playing at one of these stops I would love to connect with you.
Ullna
Bro Hof - Stadium
Stockholm
Visby
Faslterbo
Great Northern

My golf and travels are becoming more constrained by time in 2025. In the hopes of checking off playing golf in every Province of Canada AND seeing every golf course in a National Park I very much would like to see Terra Nova - Twin Rivers. It's the last of Canada's National Parks golf course's I must see.

Mullingar Golf Club
Please share your thoughts on Mullingar once you've played.  While I have a long list of courses in Ireland I would like to visit, this one is of particular interest, because of its proximity to my ancestral home.

Perhaps the theme of Jonathan Cummings’ post is “I want to join the countless GCA respondents who don’t know what TWO courses means and instead I’ll just spews endlessly about my 2025”.

2025:

I have never played Somerset Hills, but I have a great contact there now and he told me not to be shy. So that's my more easily attainable choice.

Fishers Island is my less attainable pick. Thought we had it sorted out in 2024 and it fell apart.

I work for an airline and we are (finally) restarting service from Philadelphia to Edinburgh this spring. I do fancy a few easy hops across provided my wife is agreeable to that. I plan to fill out the new UK Travel Authorization forms in advance so that not having that won't get in the way of a last minute trip.

I'm eager to get to Childress Hall this year. By all accounts, I'm hearing very good things.

Also, I doubt I'll get there but I'm trying to get to Mountain View in the Yukon to finish a project. We'll see!

Finishing up details on SW England for later this year.

Rye, Littlestone, Deal, Princes & RSG.

The places I'm looking for others to play are Fall Line & Childress. Very intriguing projects.

Cypress Point Club- it has been on may annual list for at least 15 years, but hope springs eternal!

Not a Francophile or particularly fond of large cities, I've nonetheless wanted to play Golf de Morfontaine for a long time, and it is reasonably possible in 2025.  Shinny, Garden City and Friar's Head are also on that list.

I was planning a trip to North Wales, but it is not looking like I will get overseas this year, sadly.  Most of my travel this year will be for work and family, so hopefully I can visit a few new courses on those trips.  A few spots where I know I will be...

Minnesota: After playing Windsong Farm and Minikahda last year (thanks to the incredibly welcoming and kind local gca contingent), perhaps I can find my way out to a couple more of the great courses in the area.  The new course at Windsong looked pretty cool, and I'd love to get up to Northland at some point, but the courses closer to the cities are far more likely.  I'll say Minneapolis GC, since I've been invited.

Upstate NY: I expect to be in the area somewhat regularly for the next few years, and hope to finally see a few of the area's best.  There is a lot of ground to cover, and I don't know a ton about specific courses, but I'm most curious about Monroe GC, because a friend I trust thought it was the best in the region.

Residing in the Southeast US, I've played most of the courses in which I am most interested (at least once), but a few still elude me. The only one I am definitely planning is Pinehurst 10.
