BUDA 2025 - East Lothian, Scotland:  Gullane GC & Musselburgh Old Links

Buda 2025 will be played over the links of Gullane Golf Club and Musselburgh Old 8-10 September. Following are the details of the event schedule: 

Mon 8 Sept   Golf on Gullane #2 at 10:32
                        Golf at Musselburgh Old Links at 16:00 (optional)

Tue 9 Sept   Golf on Gullane #2 at 9:04 (optional)
                      Lunch - Gullane Links Clubhouse
                      Golf on Gullane #3 at 14:30
                      Dinner - Gullane Members Clubhouse

Wed 10 Sept  Golf on Gullane #1 at 10:16
                        Awards (Lunch?) - Gullane Members Clubhouse
                        (An afternoon round on G1 can be arranged for a nominal extra fee)

COST for All-In:   5 rounds golf + 1 lunch + 1 dinner = £388.50

IMPORTANT NOTE:  £150 ($195) of your deposit is refundable prior to 1 July. After 1 July nothing is refundable.

I’ll run it past ‘the management’!
Our ferry is from Hull on the evening of the 11th, so in theory it could work, I guess. It’s just further down the east coast. Hmmmmmmm….

Yes, almost everybody plays a few pre- or post-Buda rounds, especially the non-UK participants. There's a WhatsApp group of participants where some of the coordination happens.

A fantastic itinerary!   Unfortunately, I am likely out this year.   A Dublin native has offered to give a small group a tour of area courses and sites at around this time and I do not want to miss that opportunity. 


For anyone thinking of a Scotland trip, I strongly suggest signing up and adding to the itinerary to fill out your trip.   Playing great courses with this crew far surpasses the experience hordes of Americans will have traveling by tourist bus while ticking boxes across the country.

Yes! Lots of pre and post Buda golf is organized. Most of the US contingent make it a two week trip.

As Enno mentioned, we have a WhatsApp group where a lot of the pre and post Buda golf is organized. If anyone is interested in joining that group let me know and I’ll add you.

I'm not quite sure of my movements that far out and in any case non-local folks should have first priority for slots on the trip.


I'm more that happy to help out with pre or post BUDA games at North Berwick if I"m around (as I'm sure a few other GCA locals will be).

I am excited, will be my first time golfing in Scotland.


I'll get there 5  days early and go to St. Andrews and try to get on a s a single walk up. Of course, I'll play some other courses around St. Andrews as well.


I'll probably stay around N. Berwick the whole next week and will try and play everything I can around there!
