Are they going to keep the Weiskopf original design?  Considering they used RTJ Jr at Hogs Head and Ken Dye at Paako Ridge, I'm not sure who their target market is?

On a previous Thread Adam Lawrence responded:

"No. The project was sold last year to Alvarez and Marsal, the developers of Paa-Ko Ridge in New Mexico and Hog's Head in Ireland. There is a new course design, I do know who by but I have forgotten   It won't be called Feddinch any more, and I think it will be a resort rather than a private club. DJ Russell is now in charge of the course design, and Weiskopf's former design partner, Phil Smith, is doing a short course as a tribute to Tom.

I’ve driven past a few times over the past week and work appears to be well underway. I have to say that it seems a pretty unremarkable site. The views over St Andrews and the bay will be nice but apart from that it’s basically a fairly steeply sloping hillside of former agricultural land and (to a very untrained eye) the soil doesn’t look great. There’s been a lot of very necessary work done on the drainage at the next-door Duke’s course over the past two winters. Hopefully there’ll be investing the money up front to try and get that right but even so.

I still struggle to see why international visitors are going to spend what will presumably be a lot of money to play an inland course in St Andrews when, within 45 minutes drive, they could be on TOC, the New, the Jubilee, the Eden, Elie, Crail, Lundin, Leven, Carnoustie, Panmure, Kingsbarns, Monifieth……….

Similarly.
Does anyone know anyone who's played Dumbarnie Links, near Elie? £245 this summer.
At least its a links and when I droped in it was very welcoming and full.
2025 Craws Nest Tassie, Carnoustie.

The same thing could have been said about Kingsbarns and the Renaissance Club when they were in the planning stage.

To quote a line from the movies, "build it and they will come."

Dumbarnie is sandy but it isn’t natural linksland. There is linksland next to the course but it was built on sandy farmland and shaped to resemble dunes. Pretty well, I must say. But we can argue until the world’s ending whether that makes it a links. Dana Fry and Jason Straka’s in-construction Curracloe course in Ireland is the same.

Without being by the sea. I've never wholly understood this proposition, in its original form or tbh even now. I share James's view, and when it was, as it was originally, proposed to be a US-style private club with a joining fee in excess of £200,000, it was even more bizarre. It seemed bizarre to me that anyone would think that people would pay that much to belong to a club in St Andrews with no preferential access to the Old course.
