Also interested and I'd throw into the mix Seaton Carew and Cleeveland GC.

We can stay at......

If that area is in the mix, then my vote goes for Seaton Carew. Criminally underrated, and I believe in the winter they play the old routing, which is the best.

Seating Carew is never a bad shout.

My understanding is that Cleveland is a true hidden gem, in that even here it gets no love, because none of us have seen it.  Perhaps the Tin Man and I can scout it together.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Just played Hartlepool. Higher highs and lower lows than Cleveland.

Thanks for the link, Sean.  And I'll add Hartlepool to my list of "should plays".

Adam Uttley has mentioned Abbeydale (Fowler) and his home course Hallamshire (Colt) which could be a good combo and GCA penchant of playing hidden gems at reasonable price. It may be too far south for my northern comrades.

Both highly recommended.  Abbeydale is a great Fowler shrouded in trees but currently being further butchered by unnecessary changes instead of the tree removal it desperately needs. Best seen ASAP.  However, both really need to be seen in summer to be appreciated so I wouldn’t recommend for this get together.
