Might make a long weekend in the south in the spring. Looking at New Orleans or Biloxi area. Any suggestions public or private ?

I've visited the Biloxi area twice, but not since 2018. There are some good public options. They were reasonably priced when i played them, but can't speak to current green fees. Fallen Oak  is the most well known, but it was the worst value-wise. Here are links to photos of  a few of the ones I liked.

Audubon GC in the city there was a Confidential Guide Gourmet Choice in Volume 2. It's public. I'd play there then spend the rest of your time wandering around the city. The WWII museum is terrific.

Not to be a smartarse, but going to New Orleans to play golf would be like going to Bandon and searching out backsplash for your kitchen.

That said, if you must, there’s Audubon and Metairie Country Club.
