Tiger's body of work over time is truly mindblowing.
Scheffler's nice 3-year run has produced 12* wins and countless comparisons of "we haven't seen anything like this since Tiger" blah blah blah -- Scottie has a ways to go to even be in the same orbit as Vijay.
Out of curiosity I took a look rolling 3-year windows for a number of players (in the Tiger era) to see how they might compare with what Scottie is doing.
The criteria was (i) at least 1 win in each of the 3 consecutive seasons, and (ii) an aggregate of 10-or-more wins in the 3yr window.
Scottie has 1 under his belt, 2022>2023>2024 where he had 4, 2 & 7 wins respectively.
Vijay did it 3-times from 2002 > 2006 during which had 2, 4, 9, 4 & 1 wins respectively.
Phil never did it.
Tiger did it 11 consecutive times 1997 > 2009 during which he had 4, 1, 8, 9, 5, 5, 5, 1, 6, 8, 7, 4 & 6 wins respectively.
For Tiger 2008 > 2010 also totaled 10 wins but he didn't have a win in 2010 so the streak ended with the 2007 > 2009 window.
Scottie is 28 years old, has 12 wins including 2 majors...
...at the same age Tiger had 39 wins including 8 majors.
