It's not "an easy walk" like Pinehurst #2, which is much flatter.  It's a big course with some elevation change [not quite 100 feet top to bottom], there are a couple of long transitions between holes, and it's sandy underfoot.

But that shouldn't give anyone the impression that it's a very difficult walk when you've got a caddie handling your bag.  You're probably not going to be ready to go around again, if you're not young and fit.  But if you can't walk Pinehurst #10, you can't walk Pine Valley or Augusta, and I've never seen anyone here trying to scare people away from playing those.

I played it in August (hot, hot) and it is not an easy walk but not to the point where it detracts from the experience.

I thought it was an interesting course.  The greens are good and you had a really nice mix of holes.  You go from the short 8th with a visually intimidating tee shot to the 9th which is all right in front of you (and is a monster hole).

After a week of golf, I walked it with a caddie on a hot day in September. My 77-year-old legs were unhappy on some of the hills, but the terrain made the course interesting and fun. It certainly is walkable. Beginning with Bandon, many resorts have gone to "walking only, unless you have a doctor's note." I like that. I enjoy walking, and I like having a caddie. A caddie helps me concentrate more because I discuss many of the shots with him.

The almost unanimous consensus is #10 is "a tough walk." That's the the predominant comment I've heard.

I have still yet to play it. Those of you who have, do you feel that way?
Thanks.

I played it in May. I normally walk and carry my bag however I took a caddy that day.

I will confess to being a bit concerned before I played as to whether I would be OK walking given what had been written

But I did not find it a difficult walk.

i’m 61 years old and retired military I consider myself in good shape. I was in the UK for 30 days this year and played 21 rounds of golf - 20 of them I walked and carried.

I realize this will be a weird comparison, but there was a thread a few months ago about walking Rock Creek Cattle Co in Mt. I did not walk that course. I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed it had I decided not to ride.

There was never a time on #10 where I second thought my decision to walk.

If I did not have a caddy at #10 I definitely would’ve taken a pushcart
You say you walk and carry when you play but if you did not use a caddy why would you have used a push cart and not carried your own bag like you always do?
Almost everyone I have talked to has told me that it is "not an easy walk."

my impression based on reading what was out there before I played is that it was probably a bit much for me to walk and carry.

I retain that impression having played it. As others have pointed out, it’s not flattish like #2.

but it is certainly walkable. I do not characterize it as difficult. taking a pushcart would allow me to focus more on the round sort of how Tommy points out that using the caddy allow him to focus on the shots more
