Do you know, I once paid good money in a charity auction to play a round of golf with Andy Goram. Unfortunately I never managed to get the game organised and then sadly he died a couple of years later. By all accounts he wasn't much of a golfer but I bet he'd a wealth of stories.

Was that after he was diagnosed with schizophrenia? Funny, but extremely unkind.

My favourite is the Tartan Army singing 'One Team in Tallinn' when the Estonian team boycotted the game and didn't show up. That was genius.

He was a good cricketer though - played 4 times for Scotland. He actually played for the club I captained, just a couple of years apart from me - Walter Smith had knocked his cricket on the head by the point I got there.
