Many at the gathering, after enjoying the morning golf and then a great lunch, took a spin on the Short Course, designed by Brian Schneider. It consists of 5 holes, all par 3s, and was a delight.

After the round at the Short Course, I was able to experience the 9-hole East Course at the Maidstone Club. Go here for a hole-by-hole photo tour:

After the round, we experienced the traffic in the Hamptons on the drive back to Philadelphia. Yowser!

And one more thing: food.

On Sunday night we had dinner at Rumba. It would get a Doak Supper Scale score of 9 or 10. Off the charts good.

It was a great day... spectacular weather, wonderful course... even though my 7 iron somehow ended up in Chicago after the round, that eventually came back as well.
