An interesting piece by the folks at the Fried Egg. I imagine there are other similar stories too.

Things might be different in different parts of the World but in general golf does use a lot of space on a finite sized and resourced planet with a seemingly ever growing and ever more demanding population.

This is a constant issue in CA, and will be more and more constant as the well pumping becomes less and less feasible.

The course I play, Gleneagles SF has similar issues because they aren’t on the recycled water program.

More and more I see “good conditioning” as a serious long term problem for golf. The hedonic treadmill will keep pulling us toward unrealistic expectations.

Good on the dairy farm for making more with less and keeping their priorities straight.
