Yes, my balloon cut apparently goes farther right than your balloon cut.
Especially that day. Actually that little ledge was one of the few places where you could hit a recovery, especially if the ball would tend to plug like yours did (brutal!). I guess you just have to miss it big enough!

The area left of the 13th down to the beach is inaccessible, and there is a sign there saying so, but the right-hand dunes are fair game as far as we knew.
Where did you hit your next shot that allowed you to up and down it ? Did you hole out a chip ? 
That same stiff wind that carried my shot way up the dune was dead into me on the next shot; that combined with the height above the green allowed me to swing hard and have it stop quick, about 7-8 feet away from the right-center pin.
One of the few highlights of that round, though. As you know, with that wind you just try to get to the 14th tee without any major damage, then have a fast finish, but I was skying by this point!
