I will be in the area in a few weeks and a friend invited me to play.  I understand 9 holes are closed right now and you play the same 9 twice.  Is it worth it or should I play elsewhere?

I would especially if you are being hosted.
The back 9 is considered one of the best nines in the world.
I am looking to play in December when the front nine will reopen, and you can play the front (renovated greens) with the back.

Just played Pasa 10 days ago.  Other than the fact the range is closed from 12-1pm, it was fabulous.  Playing the back 9 twice (with two pins) worked really well.
