If his design work looks anything like his golf swing, it’ll be all kinds of Frank Lloyd Wrong.

I thought this was a joke at first.
Asked if he expects Smith to be involved in some of the design decisions, Furyk said, “I’m sure he’ll be interested. I think Andy has let him know that he can have some input on the practice facilities (at the double-sided range) and such, so I’ll talk to him a little bit about that.

I read recently that Furyk is teaming up with Mike Beebe as the golf course designer, who did several real estate golf projects with Mark McCumber's golf design firm (they were more active 20+ years ago).

Glen Kernan is a 25 year-old real estate golf course with generous corridors, lots of water, and big newer houses where folks like Tim Tebow, Trevor Lawrence, and other football players and new-to-town business executive types live. The course has fallen into a pretty bad state of disrepair in recent years as the original owners/developers passed away and it wasn't a priority for the next generation of their family. Wouldn't surprise me if Jim Furyk moves his Champions Tour event there in a couple of years.

Another article notes Michael Beebe and David Johnson will be involved in the design.
