The Life and Work of Wayne Stiles, an indispensable addition to one's reference library, has Laconia as nine holes by Wayne Stiles in 1921, nine more by Ralph Barton in 1926, a do-over of unknown proportions by Orrin Smith and William Mitchell in 1938, and a significant modernization by George Sargent in 1998. There is not much left of the original eighteen.
I remember it as fun and scenic but I have not been back in twenty years despite driving past dozens of times.
