Does anyone have any history on the golf course (no longer in existence) on Cow Island (formerly known as Guernsey Island) Tuftonboro, New Hampshire?  Camp Idlewild, a private boys camp operated from 1891 until 1975 on the island. Per the locals, there was a 5 hole par 3 course on the island, but I’d be interested in learn more.

I have no local knowledge.  A deep dive into GIS doesn't show any remnant of a golf course on the island as of the earliest aerial image I could find which was dated 1992.  It's possible they created a few holes in the clearing where the old baseball field was on the southwest lobe of the island.

David, thanks.  I’m thinking the course went in after 1925.  I’ll try to take a deeper dive into the archives of the Laconia newspaper for any additional facts. I have friends who have a camp on Cow Island and I’m hoping to dig up some history and photos of the old course.
