All of a sudden I hit a few shots way too cautiously made a series of bogies largely due to thinking more about “not messing up” than what I had been doing. I won by a lot but shot 40 my last nine and learned that I really needed to focus and play the game all the time the way I planned.
Q schools were another interesting mind set. Being a couple shots under the number was very difficult for me to focus on the correct shot. My head always got “busy”. Great players seem to have one voice in their head, I had a committee
