Who is the golfer in the film? Do real Scots really have golf bags and head covers like that?

To paraphrase the caddie …There were very few people that after 3 holes I didn’t want to spend another 3 and a half hours with.

In the comment section of the Trailer for the film someone says they had a wonderful 4hr stroll with the gentleman.

Is Prestwick a 4hr round? Or does that include lunch?

That's just a Jones Bag, not common anywhere but they are currently selling them in the Links shop at St. Andrews.
Over time, the guy in the ideal position derives an advantage, and delivering him further  advantage is not worth making the rest of the players suffer at the expense of fun, variety, and ultimately cost -- Jeff Warne, 12-08-2010

Jones is a sponsor. I was surprised the head covers are not for sale in the Links Diary shop.
