Man we got some folks way outside their circle of competence here. Even before the pass products (Epic, Icon), lift ticket revenue NEVER covered mountain operation expenses (lift operation, grooming, etc.). The profitability is only in ancillary services, ski school, equipment rental, F&B, assorted retail, lodging, and real estate.

If you can call our attention to a golf operation making more money off of golf shirts and hamburgers than greens fees then we have a basis for comparison. Sweetens as n=1?

Don't play too much golf. Two rounds a day are plenty.

Thanks for the assist. I’ll reiterate, the economics of skiing are so different that the “collective” idea for golf is a moot point. Golf courses can’t really adopt the loss leader model the way a ski resort can.

Isn't the biggest profit center for a pubic/daily fee golf course the driving range? :)
