Back nine at LA North is crazy long

If they play it all the way back. 11 290 par three. 16 542 par four. 17 520 par four. 18 492 yard par four. Yikes

On those super long par 4's, can the green be hit out of the rough from let's say 240?

Are they using a 5 par 3 set up? If they are calling the 290 a 3 maybe they are?

You forgot 13, which might play longer than 16, 17, or 18.

On 13, 16, and 18, hitting the green from way back out of the rough is possible but very difficult. On 13 and 16 maybe from the left, and 18 maybe from the right, but all would have to be pretty great shots with sand really squeezing the approach. On 17, no chance barring a miracle.

It looks like the front is:

2 par 5s, 4 par 4s, 3 par 3s

And the back the more conventional US Open setup

1 par 5, 6 par 4s, 2 par 3s

It's long on the card but doesn't play as long - 11 is steep downhill, and 16 plays effectively down the same slope.

7 will play longer than 11, regardless of what the yardage book says.
