Mother’s Day Golf Who’s playing?
« on: May 12, 2023, 08:58:51 PM »
I’m spending Mother’s Day alone at Big Cedar Lodge. I should feel right at home with the other sad sacs. Still beats years of teeing off as an MDB overlooks the course.

I am...

Nothing major on the architectural spectrum tomorrow, just something close to the interstate in KY to add to my lifetime "Quest" total (2358 courses and counting currently) as I am just driving back from a week in Michigan for a "work" trip and I dont need to be home until late tomorrow since my wife and daughter are doing a Mothers Day weekend in Charleston (Hall Pass).

Since I dont think my boss is on here I will mention that I somehow managed to play 13 different courses in the last 9 days, not bad on a "business trip" week and this is just one more to add to "the Quest" on the way home.  I did manage to play a few pretty cool places mixed in with the very mundane ones I also hit.

Happy Mothers Day!!  I will call my mom in the morning before I tee it up if that counts for anything.

I'm going to miss it, but might hit the range. I qualified for my club's match play tournament, and play my first match on Monday.

Off to brunch then a quick 9 holes at SICC aka Goat Hill! With my mother, of course.

I’ve never seen the correlation between family and golf. Mother’s Day falling on a Sunday proves that men have never ruled the world.

In solidarity with my other nongolfing Mother’s brothers I skipped golf and rented a boat to spread ashes on the lake. Looking forward to bringing back my family this summer.

Big Cedar has a happy vibe. Try to set aside a day for NGA if you visit.
