UPDATE: JULY 10
Thanks to the hard work of Craig Disher, the dates and course lineup is set for our resurrected Dixie Cup gathering:

Sept 30: 1300 - Golf at Palmetto GC
Sept 30: 1900 - Dinner at The Wilcox

Oct 1: 0950 - Golf at Aiken GC
Oct 1: 1600 - Golf at The Chalk Mine (nine hole Par 3)

Oct 2: 0930 - Old Barnwell (walking only - youth caddies available for $50 + tip)

(This event is limited to 24 participants)

The cost for three days of golf and the group dinner at The Wilcox is $475... this includes a donation to the Old Barnwell Charity Fund. A deposit of $100 will be required to secure a spot. This deposit is non-refundable, however, if your plans change your deposit can be refunded from someone taking your place.

How To Secure Your Spot: send an email to md.whitaker@me.com and register your interest in attending. Only emails will be accepted... do not send via GCA direct message. Priority for filling the 24 spots is as follows:
1) Those who have played in prior Dixie Cups
2) Those who are subscribed to GCA
3) Others

Wait List. If you are on this list, we are waiting to see how many spots remain available after the deadline for commitment from those above who have received an invitation. Once we know how many spots remain open we will offer those spots to the GCA Subscribers, then conduct a lottery to fill any positions available.

To those on the confirmed participants list... watch your email. We will be sending you complete details on the event such as format of play, when to pay your balance due and how teams will be structured.

Wow...have not been on GCA in a minute and missed this gem of an outing with a true cast of characters!  Gotta login more often (going forward) to try and snag a spot at one of these outings.  If things so well, I may have lots of free tie on my hands come April of next year (2025). Fingers crossed!
