In short, the "rules" are:


1. Dont make it hard, because golfers arent that good


2. Alternate fairway options are notoriously hard to make work


3. Build greens, not quadrants


4. Speed kills


5. Make some par 4s shorter.




And for those who want yoga moves for golf (J-Kav!!), go to page 9...;-)

It is PW protected.  I get all of the five except "speed kills."  Is that in reference to green speeds, or something else, like firm and fast fairways?

Green speeds.  In turn, flatter, less contour, less interesting.  More frustrating, slower pace. 

Hard to argue with.

I subscribe, so was able to read it.  Not sure why BK devoted one of his five rules (alternate fairways) to something you'd see maybe once in a blue moon.
