Weiskopf and Boise
« on: February 25, 2023, 09:33:39 PM »
Right before he got sick, Tom was commissioned to build a new course outside of Boise. According to my sources he made a site visit and drew up a plan, then got sick.

About a year later (last February) he was back in Boise looking at the site again.

Anyone know what has happened from there ?

skimming through Weiskopf obituaries there were two mentions, that constriction was well under way and a name of Toms Tract at Phillip's Preserve near Boise.

I will ask Phil Smith (Weiskopf's architect/partner).

Spoke to Phil, who is on his way to Castiglion del Bosco in Italy, which he and Tom built jointly, and which he is renovating at the moment. He says the Boise project is still awaiting approvals, but it should be heard quite soon, and assuming it is permitted, he will be building it.

Thanks Adam that is good news! Our town is desperate for a great golf course! I’m only sorry that Tom won’t be around to finish it, he was a great man….

The layout and location are in this document, which is about 5 miles from my in-laws' house.
