Fall of '22, I had the chance to tour NCR's North course.  The course is like a museum piece.  So much of Wilson's original design is intact and nearly all the bunkers are in their original locations.  Only a couple have been added and only one green appears to have been altered with the relocation/addition of a rear bunker on the 15th green.  The bunkers, greens, and tees have shrunken which is typical for most any course its age.  The superintendent and his team have been working on tree removals and adding fescue areas throughout the property.  The North course does not have the rugged moraine topography of the South course, but it is interesting nonetheless.  Great contrast between the two courses.  Wilson did a masterful job creating two distinct courses on the same property.  The greens on the North course are very good and appear to be a lot of fun to putt on.  Combination of par 3's is very good and the variety in the fours makes the course memorable.  The included photos are found on the walls in the CH and come from the time of construction and after its opening. 


The first four images are of the North course following the completion of construction.  The last four are of the South course just after opening.
