Hopefully this gains some traction. I have nothing to contribute but Durand Eastman is on my short list of "must see."

Kyle, did Matt F tell you about this project at all? I think he said he mentioned it.

Grew up in the Finger Lakes and have been back here for the last 34 years and I've never played Durand. I think we need to grab Ian if he's in the area for a little reconnaissance!!

Let's do it. I haven't been back in 11 years but will hopefully be there either in May or June. I have a couple GCA lurkers that will also likely join.

I secured the website www.friendsofdegc.org. No idea what the content should be or how to generate interest or funds so anybody looking for help!

They're showing up for me.

I see them, as well.

Thanks guys, same. Glad you're seeing them, that probably means its me. I'll mess around with my browser settings.

I am very excited to announce that Victor native Phil Cuffare, Director of Agronomy at Oakland Hills (and formerly Oak Hill), has joined the project. His resume speaks for itself, but I cannot say enough about him as a person and his vision for growing the game.

Perhaps #2 should be named Riviera.

Presented for critique during today's final round.

Yes, he did. Coincidentally he was here right after I posted this!

Phil,

Great stuff, and #2 is a tough, tough hole at Durand.

Interestingly, the 5th hole at Cobb's Creek is very similar and Riviera's architect, George Thomas, had this to say about that;

“I always considered Hugh Wilson of Merion, Pennsylvania as one of the best of our golf architects, professional or amateur. He taught me many things at Merion and the Philadelphia Municipal (Cobb’s Creek) and when I was building my first California courses, he kindly advised me by letter when I wrote him concerning them.”

Wow! Great find. Those are the only 3 holes I've ever seen with that distinct of split landing areas on a par 4. #5 at Cobbs is one of my favorite holes anywhere.
