The course is situated just outside of Hamilton, just over 100kms from Auckland. It was designed by Phil Tautaurangi and built on what used to be Lochiel Golf Club.
The front nine is built is built on the inside of the property and the second nine goes in a clockwise direction on the outside.
It is a good golf course and can be enjoyed by players of all levels. It is not to be confused with the expensive developments situated in other parts of the county. It is a golf club with a full membership.
I played it just over a year ago when it had just opened. No doubt it has matured in the intervening time. I thoroughly enjoyed playing there and would recommend it if you are travelling between Auckland and central New Zealand.
