Masters invite back to PGA Tour golfer after mishap.
The Masters invitation was mistakenly given to another Georgia man.
A Georgia man who mistakenly received a golfer’s Masters invitation went to the UPS store to return the mail to the correct person.Scott Stallings received the invitation meant for Scott Stallings, the PGA Tour golfer. His wife, Jenny, posted a video showing her husband going to the store to return the invitation. Stallings was looking a bit glum as he explained what he was doing at the store.

The 'other' Scott Stallings got a practice round invite and dinner in the Clubhouse out of ANGC's mix-up so he's doing OK..

Dinner in the clubhouse and an invitation to a practice round?  Why not a tee time?  In fact, why not all three.  What would it cost them.

Precedent.


Erik is most likely correct that precedent is the answer. You would think that from a PR standpoint they would have been a bit more magnanimous in the form of a weekly badge or at least an actual tournament round ticket. Regardless the imposter is probably pretty happy by the gesture.

And… they may have done more than we know of (privately).
