Bunker systems
« on: November 27, 2022, 09:21:59 AM »
I played Rivertown in Charleston the other day. They are in the process of rebuilding some bunkers. A few were completely lined with loose dark colored stone and a few were lighter stone that was glued together with epoxy of some sort. I’ve seen bunkers with the epoxied stone before they were filled with sand but always assumed it was installed all at one time like a slush and formed in place. Is the process to line the bunker with stone then spray the epoxy on to the stone? I assume the epoxy causes gives stone the lighter look.

I ask as an asphalt guy. Is anyone still putting asphalt pavement in their bunkers?

That makes sense.
