I think it's a very good one. Many prefer the reachable hole on the final, i.e., driveable par 4 or reachable par 5, because of the two shot swing potential. TOC is subtle in it's green defense. Also, the crow gets so close which helps the atomsphere.
OT, but one of my most memorable moments came at the hole. Playing with a fellow who had a big slice (definitely not a good shot patter for TOC) who had OB tee shots on several holes, he was determined not to hit it OB right on 18, with many spectators on the road, etc. He aimed way left, to the first fairway and then managed to double cross it, bounding OB short of the starter's shack and eventually down to the beach, perhaps even in the bay.
His caddy, in the great tradition of Scottish caddies, said, "Well, ah never saw that before, but I've only been working here for 42 years!"
I agree with JK that 18 at Oly is probably the least attractive. I was never fond of the par 3 18th at Congressional, or as noted by Tim, the slice dogleg right at Medinah. I found 18 at Whistling Straits out of character, seemingly a too cute attempt to be really different to finish. I'm sure there are plenty out on tour, like the old Warwick Hills in MI, which I don't think had any inspiring holes. I don't think Pinehurst 18 is one of the best holes on the course, and I think the 18th at Hazeltine was just like all the other par 4 holes. I think you could say the same of all the RTJ courses used in majors.
For the PGA, I would nominate one I was involved with a bit - the 18th at Kemper Lakes.
