Mike Keiser’s New Book “The Nature of the Game”
« on: June 14, 2022, 12:04:11 PM »
I was fortunate this weekend to play a delightful round of golf at the Country Club of Charleston and during the round I was asked what was the favorite in my collection of books about golf courses and architecture.

My first thought was “wow, that’s a tough question”. But, I also very quickly realized there could only be one answer: the very first book I acquired when I was ten years old! It was the famous Sports Illustrated’s “The Best 18 Holes in America”.

Why this book? Because this was the book that told me at ten years old that I wanted to see and possibly play as many of the world’s great courses as I could.

Put another way, it was the start of my life long journey.

Anyway, when I arrived home from my trip to South Carolina, I was delighted to find Mike Keiser’s new book and quickly dove into it. Rather than go too much into detail, let me simply say I highly recommend Keiser’s book. It is a detailed discussion of why and how he did what he has done as a golf course developer.

I can’t imagine any GolfClubAtlas discussion group participant not enjoying this book.

Tim,
Agreed. Here is a link to another thread about the book, but the thread title doesn't mention it is a new book.
