He apparently was rear ended by a distracted driver while stopped for construction work in Florida. His wife survived with minor injuries.
Bart's first wife died of brain cancer in 2017.
Really awful news to say the least.

Always struck me as the kind of guy I'd like to play a round of golf with over a few Miller Lites. Sad way to go out that's for sure.
