Would agree with Joe on the name – However, it’s not meant to appeal to Nebraskans so I guess it doesn’t need to fit. Guessing the following will be in the press releases to come:
“The course was found and waiting to be developed”
“Huge fire pit to sip on the Kahikina bottled whiskey after a long day on the links to enjoy the endless Nebraska sunsets.”
"Kahikina will be a place where friendships are born and legends will last a lifetime"
Guessing there will be a huge ribeye with a bone sticking out of it as the featured menu item.
How will they be able to differentiate themselves? Is it via the Dormie Club model?
Sincerely wish them luck and as a former Nebraska boy I am impressed at how the golf in the state continues to grow and evolve. Caprock – private, Tatanka – casino, Landman – public and different terrain, Lost Rail – private and now Kahikina.
