Believe the last hole told a big story. The obvious play was short left , given the conditions. Now consider if a good amateur player has the skill to play it to the opening even is short and chip and putt for par. The usual disparity for sheer distance was mitigated by the firm and fast conditions.

Scheffler still has the advantage over most of us, but it's mitigated by the need to play conservatively. His play to the left showed he understood the strategy of the day, even if it left him a 70 foot two putt to win the title. His lag putt was impressive no doubt. My argument would be that many other players of lesser power and skill could handle that , whereas they have no chance to carry it 300 yards off the tee.
