Really great to see a get-together without masks - and WITH WINE!
Well done, chaps. Come visit this side soon.

Thanks to everyone who came!  What a great night!

David, that grape juice was incredible!  I couldn’t fully see the bottle, but was that Tapestry?!?

Tommy -

I brought 2 reds, a Nardi Rosso di Montalcino (2015) and a Rivetti Barbaresco (2013). They were opened (and drunk) in that order. I can't recall if there was any of the 1st bottle left when you arrived. Glad you enjoyed whatever you tasted.

Then we ordered a couple bottles of the Ruffino Chianti to drink with dinner.

High level architecture discussion...Jay Blasi and Jim Wagner.

How high level was it? Were they shouting at each other? ;)

When our GCA group had a preview round at Chambers Bay, Jay and other Chambers Bay personnel told us that there had been many shouting matches when the architects gathered for "discussions" about the task at hand.

It's clear that the west coast architectural brain trust can more than hold its own against the well established NY-PA-CT axis, the always solid WGA contingent, centred around historic Chicago, and the developing powerhouse that is the Southern Pines group. [And I say that not because I'm now one of their contingent, if only 'geographically', having recently moved to the west coast.] But also, jazz-loving David T is also clearly a man after my own heart, i.e., do we need wine? then bring a Montalcino, a Barbaresco, and a Chianti to drink!

Genuinely, Patrick Kiser looks younger than he did in 2010. Love to see it.

I only met Patrick briefly once in Dornoch and I seem to recall he had a lot more facial hair. He must be trying to look younger  ;)
