Royal Lytham
Formby
Burnham & Berrow
Trevose & Perranporth (not Dormie houses, exactly)

There’s a fine dormie at Tenby. A short downhill stroll from the train station to boot.

I've stayed at both Formby and Lytham dormie houses. The Formby one was part of the clubhouse and was fairly basic but you did get the run of the clubhouse to an extent. Lytham is a separate building adjacent to the clubhouse which I understand has been upgraded since my visit and it was perfectly acceptable then. I had a room overlooking the putting green. Similar to Formby I was in a group and we more or less had the run of the clubhouse for the entire evening.

Both clubhouses well worth a visit if you enjoy golf history and the ambiance of comfortable old buildings.

Another club with a dormie house is Ganton. I haven't stayed there but the dormie is a separate building to the clubhouse and apparently they have spent a bit of money on it of late.

I've stayed at four that I can remember
Aberdovery has(had) a dormie house-stayed there with my son in 2014.Probably the most basic but Aberdovey is such a great place
I have also stayed at Formby(great fun with the snooker and Julie)
Royal Porthcawl-lively bar scene and made very welcome
Lytham-nice accomodatiosn-dinner felt a bit sterile with no one else there

A few more that come to mind - not in order of quality - that are really more hotel/lodge than dormy. But on site.

Prince's
Trevose
Belfry
Stoke Park (but being renovated I think)
The Grove
JCB (if you're connected)

Silloth has a hotel 300 yards away.
Woodhall Spa has hotels within easy walk as well.

I didn't realize Deal had closed the rooms. They were not a strong feature of the club. A wonderful b&b in Deal is the Bears Well; very comfortable and near the club.

They should figure it out because it could be a cosy setup a similar to Sandwich.

Good call on Clyne. Very nice. In Wales though. Fine course too and pretty adjacent to Pennard.

PS - what’s Harlech/RStD’s dormy like these days? Did they upgrade it at the same time as the Clubhouse got a general make-over?

Anything to do with Conrad setting off the burglar alarm, I wonder?
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Very passable. There are also places to stay in Amberley, the village along 6/7.

To David's question above, the RStD Harlech dormy was completely refurbished (and made 100% en suite) about three years ago and is genuinely nice, in a functional/dormy sort of way. Excellent clubhouse breakfast too in the price. It's a moot point whether Porthcawl or Harlech provides 'the bed closest to the first tee of a championship golf course in the UK', but each can be no more than 20 yards away.

Even more excitingly, RStD has plans for a complete rebuild of the dormy this coming winter, doubling the size to accommodate perhaps 16 golfers (recognising the sad paucity of local accommodation in Harlech, although a Premier Inn is coming in Porthmadog this spring). Having been in a pretty parlous state financially a couple of years ago, RStD had its best ever year financially last year and can also now crack on with the much-needed rebuild of the irrigation system: drainage on Morfa Harlech remains, as regular readers of GCA will know, a big issue and the status of the whole site as an SSSI with strong input from Natural Resources Wales means that a lot of related challenges are beyond the club's immediate control.

Yeah Stoke Park certainly is more luxury, and assume during the renovation it would be moreso. Wentworth is light years from "dormy" status, but lodging on site.

Seaford in East Sussex has a very reasonably priced Dormy house.

Royal St George’s has a large Dormy for members and guests only.

The old staff flat at Deal is once again a staff flat.

There’s lots of hotels attached to courses obviously most are high end such as Gleneagles and Turnberry.
