Canada’s only Alister MacKenzie design set for restoration
« on: February 12, 2022, 12:16:44 PM »
Great story here from SCOREGolf by Rick Young on Winnipeg's St Charles which was worked on by both Ross and MacKenzie.  Jim Urbina is doing the work with help from Riley Johns.

I've played St. Chuck. It's pretty solid now, especially the Mackenzie Nine, which DeVries touched up. The Ross nine is the one in shambles, and Urbina's plan is much more aggressive on that side of the golf course. I found Mackenzie's routing in a really weird piece of ground to be quite smart. It's already the best in Manitoba so hopefully an improved product can encourage Pine Ridge to do some big-picture work (a lovely Ross), and Elmhurst can merge the two styles.
