Dornick Hills is also on the calendar for a Mid-Am site.  That will be another fun one after the restoration/renovation(?).

Matt, we are hosting our US Am Qualifiers at Rolling Green GC and Applebrook GC so GAP players are in for a treat at those two venues.

Does the valley club usually host qualifiers?  I don't play at rhat level but wouldn't think they do due to private nature of club.

Every two or three years they will host a mid am or senior am qualifier.

Wonder if the VC would be interested in hosting a Walker Cup or Curtis Cup?

Joel -

The site of the Valley Club is very compact, the range is pretty short and the surrounding neighborhood does not exactly encourage easy vehicle access. The VC would likely need cooperation from the golf club next door to use their property & course  for parking and perhaps practice areas.

DT

p.s. The US Walker Cup team did play at the VC when the event was played at Los Angeles CC a few years ago.

Yeah during covid and no attendees would have worked well, but agree that the location is just so small and even the right neighborhood roads would make it difficult to handle. Certainly need a robust shuttle system. Such a great course, club, history it is in my top 10 all time.
