I would like to see podcasts as well, and I am 56 and have been here from the beginning (and at Golfweb before that).

A main objection to podcasts is information density - many people can read and digest written word much faster than spoken word. 


I only listen to one podcast with any regularity.  But it is only tolerable if I turn the speed up to 1.5x to 2x.  Most podcast apps allow this. 


I do listen to many audiobooks.  Generally the fiction I play at 1x speed - I think many audiobooks are their own performance and try to meet it on the maker's terms. Nonfiction gets bumped up to 1.5x or so.

Seems like many people have a lot of time on their hands these days that they're looking to fill.  Is it information density or the opposite?  I haven't listened to a lot but when I have there's about 20 worthwhile minutes spread over a 3 hour slot.  I think TED Talks had a limit of around 20 minutes.  Kind of like filing the 20-page brief because you run out of time or discipline to write the 10-page version.

I'm not a podcast guy and don't really have the time for that. My work revolves around briefs/summaries as well so used to that down and dirty. I'd enjoy scanning the transcript more, but of course many like podcasts so different strokes for different folks.

I am forever grateful to Ran and this website. I love the feature interview section, but if Ran decides to convert the future editions to a podcast I can see some benefits to that. I'm sure it'll be well done.

Wow.  It looks phenomenal.  Even better, the new format allowed me to realize all of the Sean Arble tours are now listed in one place - what an incredible resource.  Big fan of the new format.  Very clean and user friendly.

In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

I see that the forums were going to be down for awhile, and the site was moving to a new platform, but I didn't see that the forum would get an update.

Since it's Sunday, I'm assuming no? Which is fine, just curious.

It is interesting that the member pecking order has been reduced to all and sundry being "Newbies".
Shades of the Boris Johnson's government's "Levelling Up" strategy.
How am I now supposed to know whom to pay due reverence to!!
