It's nice to know that the SONY Hawaii Open is the same age as me. Classy bunch, those '65s.
I wonder what Mr. Doak thought of the inability of some of the guys to putt yesterday. It seemed that they could not get the ball to the hole. I wonder if they were concerned about sliding past and having tricky return efforts, or if they simply underestimated the slope on those greens.
For those not in the know, Mr. Doak & Team refreshed Raynor's Waialae late last decade. For a year or two, the talking heads referenced the architectural bones and renewal, but they seem to have gotten away from it this year.
Considering that the PGA Tour starts each calendar year at C&C then Raynor, is wonderful stuff for our band of marauding melquiades.
