I wonder which course, classic, modern, whatever...rewards a controlled curving shot the most.


Would it be the alleged "second shot" courses?


I've heard Muirfield values great iron play as much as any.


Of those I've seen, Seminole stands out because of what happens to the ball after it lands.


It would be interesting to hear some specific examples, particularly of modern courses. Memorial Park is the one mentioned so far.

My vote would be ANGC.  When you combine plentiful trees with massive amounts of contour on nearly every LZ and approach, almost seems like working the ball is a must for success there.

Has anyone won in the last 10-15 years who is an exclusive straight ball hitter?
