Golspie has 5 par-3's and they are a very good group.

Golspie's set are terrific. Ballybunion Old also has a great set of 5 Par 3s. In the US, the 5 at Friar's Head are awfully good. And almost forgot about Swinley Forest.

5 par 3s.  How about Rye?  They are magnificent.

How about starting a separate thread on courses with a quintet of one-shot holes?

Pasatiempo did not disappoint. I agree with the comment on the shorter-tee option. I've never heard anyone say Man, I shot my career round...wish I had played a longer deck.

I played Pasatiempo one time, back in the fall of 2015. It was my only time out west, and I loved every step along the course. I'd like to hear commentary on 16 green and 17 hole. I think that they are worthy of focus. While I'm at it, I don't remember much about the contours of 18 putting surface. Since they are the closing triumvirate, and the preceding 15 holes are excellent, thoughts?

Re: Pasatiempo, for me the par 3s don't stand out as much as the par 4s, like #2, #4, #10, #11, #14, #16.  If I had been quizzed on whether Pasa had 5 par 3s, I would have failed the quiz.

Pasatiempo's #3 is all-world, but for a set of 5 terrific par 3s, I'll take Pacific Dunes.

IMO the Loop (Red) is also a wonderful set of 5 par 3s, so put me down as a fan of Doak's sets of 5.
