Pine Barrens NJ

Today I had a couple groups take a short road trip to Jackson , NJ and played Pine Barrens Golf Club. It was so much fun and challenging to boot. Conditioning is excellent !  Wow , so good....I'm a little prejudiced because the designer is such a great guy (Eric Bergstol) that it's hard for me to not like his stuff but it is really good.

Now here's  a guy that just has a feel for design, his work at Bayonne is outstanding and Pine Barrens is really special though in the middle of nowhere!  This guy has talent , without a doubt!

Pine Barrens opened as a daily fee course in 1998. I played there shortly after the opening and was very impressed. It became private about 10 years after opening.

5 is a really neat par three. Confuses the eye and the tree is perfectly placed
