Franconia, a muni course in Springfield Mass has a double green.  Shared by 8 & 14.  It is originally a Wayne Stiles design with later work by Cornish.  Not sure who is responsible for the double green.

Windsor GC (Windsor, CA, north of Santa Rosa) has a double green on the 1st and 17th holes. Windsor GC was a stop on the Hogan/Nike Tour for a few years, maybe 20-30 years ago.

There are several [as linked earlier in this thread], but they are extremely gimmicky.  They also cause worse traffic problems than double greens, because you can't just send the traffic to opposite sides -- at least one of the holes will require walking back into the line of play to get to the next tee.

There was a triple green at Crail Balcomie that existed right up until the 90’s…. I thought it a shame to see it go but fully understood why it did.

The Gailes Course at Lakewood Shores Resort in Oscoda, MI has 2 double greens. The first I believe is 2/17 and the other I cannot place. The course as some know was designed by Kevin Aldridge son of Stan who owns Indianwood CC. Kevin was inspired by Western Gailes and other courses on a long ago trip to Scotland. Many of the holes pay homage to features he saw on that trip. There's a Postage Stamp and a punchbowl green. It's a fun course.

I have a lot of time for Lakewood Gailes. It was hugely influential in my understanding of architecture. It features much of what what makes Sandhills, Bandon etc famous, but was built prior. I am told the course is looking shabby these days, what a pity.

Reading this thread, many have double greens including a local muni in Lafayette - The Wetlands (hole 9 and 18).

Just played Sheep Ranch and hole 3 and 16.

I’ve heard the same Sean. It’s been years since my last round at Lakewood Shores but it was always more affordable than the big name resorts while having shabbier lodging and amenities. It was quaint in that way but at least the courses were well kept. I’d guess they are having the typical pandemic hiring issues.

I am drawing a blank on the double green at Shady Oaks. I have never played the little nine where Mr. Hogan hit balls. Is the double green there?

Mike, holes 8 & 10 at Shady Oaks.  It was turned into a double green during the renovation by OCM.

It’s been a long time since I have been to Shady but isn’t 8 a par 3? It seems like going to a double green would give a liability argument “you made it more dangerous.”

Mike, hole 8 is a long par 5 and hole 10 is a par 4.  The greens have always been close to each other, now they have been combined into one.

Two in Chicagoland off the top of my head: Old Elm and Midlothian.

How could you forget Harborside?!  The 18th hole on both courses.

How many of these are truly double greens as opposed to just two distinct greens connected by a piece of land maintained at green height?
