Played here recently and although I appreciate those shots of the first hole, they really do not do justice to how downhill and then back uphill the first hole really is.  In my opinion, it is a real stunner!


BTW...what a wonderful walking course and the recent work done there seems to have improved things immensely.  Views have opened up, some fairway widths reclaimed, etc.  Just lovely.

It is certainly a firm handshake as an opener, but it is a special one.


I have a new lens and I'm getting to know it (150-600). Evan is correct that the drop and rise on #1 at CCC are measurable. It is a wonderful piece of land.
