OT: New Wedges shredding golf balls
« on: February 11, 2023, 03:49:14 PM »
I am in COVID quarantine (much better now, just don't want to get the kids sick)and just now on the broadcast they mentioned Scheffler needed more balls run out to him because some new wedges he has are shredding his golf balls.

This is new since the square groove balata days. I understood the grooves were now standardized and abrasive faces were always illegal. Or are the covers of the balls now so thin they can be compromised?

I am no equipment guy so any insight is appreciated.
The only way of really finding out a man's true character is to play golf with him. In no other walk of life does the cloven hoof so quickly display itself.

Scheffler should switch to the Ram 3-D.  Crank up the production line - 110 compression model.

Time to change to TopFlight Distance. I heard the same thing and wonder the legality of the wedges
